An excellent salad onion that is relatively low maintenance and not only suited to overwintering producing early crops but good for successional spring/summer cropping too (sow at 3 weekly intervals).
'White Lisbon' is very quick growing and produces the classic bulb type salad onion great for adding flavour to salads.

How:

Sow seeds thinly in a pre-watered drill - 1.5cm deep. Rows should be 10cm apart. The seedlings will appear in 14-21 days.

Care:

No thinning required just take care when weeding not to disturb the shallow roots. Added protection with a cloche will be required for autumn sown crops to see them through the winter.
