Dwarf French Bean 'Stanley' is a cracking little plant, producing masses of long, straight pods (14cm x 1cm) and top quality french beans. It produces white flowers and the green pods are filled with white seeds.
The dwarf plant requires little staking, is quick to crop and is suitable for early or late planting. It is also disease resistant to Halo Blight & Anthranose.
An excellent top quality French bean that seems perfect!

2 weeks prior to sowing outside rake in an all purpose general fertilizer. Soak seed before sowing. Sow under cover from April, 5cm deep and plant out seedlings when 5cm high. Or direct sow 5cm deep after the last frosts have passed from mid May to July. Space them 25cm apart. Water well.

Minimal required support using canes and maybe netting if you wish. Keep moist and the area weed free.

June to October. Regularly pick beans to maintain cropping and pick before you can see the bean shape inside to get the best bean. |
