Our patio growing collection will open up a whole new world, all you need is a pot, some crocks to place in the bottom to give good drainage and rich, water-retaining, loam based compost. Water regularly & feed plants to ensure cropping is maintained. These varieties are also suitable for anyone who has limited space within a small garden.
What you get:
- Tomato 'Tumbling Tom Red' - Great for containers and hanging baskets, productive and tasty tomato plant.
- Lettuce 'Mixed Baby Leaf' - Good variety of leaves, looks as good on your plate as in a container.
- Runner Bean 'Hestia' - Compact & attractive plant, excellent for containers and productive too.
- Borlotti Bean 'Borlotto Supremo Nano' – A dwarf variety that is not only very productive but looks and tastes fantastic.
- Pea 'Hurst Green Shaft' - Can be grown in a largish pot but must have canes or teepee to support the stems, adds height to your containers. Plant with a different coloured sweet pea to extend flowering times and add extra interest.
N.B. Other good varieties for containers are our 'French Bean', Broad Bean, Courgette, Tomato 'Gardeners Delight', Beetroot and if the pot is very large Butternut Squash.
